Godfirst Students

Hi Students! We’d love to welcome you to Godfirst over the next few months! Whether you’re starting first year in September or have been around for a while, we’ve got lots of exciting things planned to kick off the new academic year - Lunches, grub crawl, Freshers Fayre, pub quiz and more!

We have a number of students with us already, who feel really strengthened by their time at Godfirst and are fully stuck into church life. As a student myself, I’ve felt Godfirst has really invested in me and encouraged me to grow in my faith and how I serve.

Most importantly, Godfirst as a church committed to discipleship, community and mission, means that students challenged, encouraged, given opportunities to step up serve and really get imbedded into the vibrant church community.

Godfirst connects in Godfirst Church Communities - G1C’s, who meet weekly as way to facilate shared life and mission together. There’s a student G1C, but also a couple of G1C’s that are a mix of students and twenties. This gives you a chance to mingle with other members of the church and find what works for you.

We would love to meet you and welcome you into our community, but with lots of great churches in Cheltenham and Gloucester it is important that you find the right church for you, so do check us out and if you don’t commit to being with G1 then that’s ok too!

If you’re interested in finding out more, there are a couple of things you can do:

Join us for Godfirst’s Sunday morning service, at the Parabola Arts Centre or check out one of the Student events! All the latest details will be on our Facebook page, so it’s worth giving that a like Godfirst Students Facebook. We’ll also be at the University’s Freshers Fayre but are hoping to kick things off properly on the 22nd September, with an evening and a free drink at the Railway Pub!

Hope to see you soon!
