We love having new people join the Godfirst. We understand that joining a church is much more about joining hearts and making steps to feel part of our community, than about any formal “steps into G1” process. However, we hope these steps will help you find out more and Get Connected.
We’d love you to sign up to our 321 Course – a four-week Alpha style, exploring faith Course.
Sign up to share a meal with other people new to Godfirst and some of our leaders. The meal will be followed by an informal introduction to Godfirst and a time to ask your questions.
Once you’ve attended a Get Connected lunch, then we encourage you to join one of our Godfirst Communities (G1c’s) that meet in homes throughout the week.
Joining one of our Sunday serving teams is a great way to get to know people and start to feel part of Godfirst.
As you feel part of us, we encourage to give financially to the work of God at Godfirst. You can use the card reader on Sundays in the welcome area, or give more regularly and gift aid your giving.
We believe that the bible teaches that Jesus followers are to belong and be committed members participating in the life of their local church. Therefore, we encourage all who call Godfirst their home to attend the next Participating Membership afternoon.
Participating Membership is a lunch followed by teaching and discussion where you can find out more about the nuts and bolts of what it means to be a member at Godfirst.
By attending you're not signing up to be a member. After attending the afternoon there is an opportunity to meet with one of the leaders, usually over a meal, to chat further before affirming your membership.
