Godfirst In Person Meeting Guidelines

Attending Safely at Godfirst

Guidance for Worship Gatherings.

During the coronavirus pandemic we have special precautions in place to keep everyone safe. These reflect the potential hazards of the transmission of COVID-19 through coughing and sneezing and through contact with contaminated surfaces.

For everyone’s health, it is vital that all our guidelines are followed. Sadly, we must reserve the right to ask people to leave the building and even to end a gathering completely, if necessary, to protect your safety.

Please read and agree to the following.

  • Please do not attend, if you or someone you live with are experiencing symptoms (a temperature, persistent cough, loss of smell/taste) or just feel unwell, or if you are self-isolating or living with someone who is self-isolating and/or is vulnerable.
  • Please travel safely to the building, practicing social distancing and only using public transport where necessary.
  • Please ensure that you comply with the Government’s “Rule of 6” before and after the service. The PAC have asked us specifically not to gather outside the building afterwards.
  • If you feel unwell at any point during worship, please advise a member of the operations team and leave the building as quickly as possible to seek medical advice. If you become ill after the event, you must contact NHS track and trace to advise them that you have attended worship at Godfirst.
  • Face coverings must be worn at all times (unless you are exempt). Please bring your own face covering
  • Please be aware of personal hygiene guidelines, in particular, the need to wash your hands.
  • No congregational singing. The worship band will play and sing. We can hum, clap and worship God in our hearts.
  • Social distancing guidelines should be followed (e.g. we'll be seated in a socially distant manner and limiting contact and interaction with those not in your family or bubble).
  • Please arrive 10-15 minutes beforehand. Please follow the one-way signs, the welcome team will show your seat in the auditorium.
  • Clean your hands using hand sanitizer when entering and leaving the building and avoid touching door handles or other surfaces as much as possible. Please only use seating as directed by the welcome team.
  • Children are always welcome at Godfirst; however, parents/guardians must be responsible for supervising them and ensure they are able to follow hygiene and social distancing precautions. When you arrive, if you have children in G1 Kids or Youth please take them at the front entrance before making your way to the side entrance.
  • Please be aware that only children who are able to remain seated or on laps for an entire meeting will be allowed in the auditorium
  • Refreshments will not be provided at the service.
  • Ticketing and signing in means we will hold the name and address of everyone who attends a worship event and keep this information to enable contact tracing by the NHS if necessary. The record sheets will be kept securely and destroyed after 21 days under GDPR rules
  • We strongly encourage everyone, especially kids, to use the toilet before arriving to the venue to minimise traffic in that part of the building.
